Hello world!

I am an #assistantprofessor in the Department of Geography at Texas State University. You can find me on Twitter @drhiner or on ResearchGate at Colleen Myles.

I am a rural geographer and political ecologist with specialties in land and environmental management; (ex)urbanization; (rural) sustainability and tourism; wine,  beer, and cider geographies (or what I like to call “fermented landscapes”); and agriculture, inclusive of urban, peri-urban, and “local”.

Greetings!

I am an #assistantprofessor at Texas State University as well as a scholar (and enthusiast) of #wine, #beer, #cider. The concept of “fermented landscapes” encapsulates my various projects (solo and collaborative) related to the environmental, economic, and sociocultural implications of fermentation in rural and urban places – and, especially, those places in between. This website is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION, so please be patient while I build (shareable) content. Check back soon and/or visit my general site: Colleen C. Myles.
